Ooh La La

Hi everyone! I had such an accomplished day today, did the laundry, cleaned the basement, and still managed to make a few cards using the product out of the new Holiday Mini, you guys are going to LOVE it! It's full of beautiful Fall and Christmas stamp sets, gorgeous new accessories, and new Bigshot products too! Love the selection.

The card that I'm going to show you today is a very simple one but I like it. I even managed to use a button on it, I am seriously button challenged. I see so many great ways to use buttons on a card but when I make the attempt it just looks wrong. The designer paper that you see is one of the new holiday dsp that will be in the mini, very cute. The snowflake is also a new die for your bigshot, it's a long die with 8 different snowflakes, yes you read that right, 8 snowflakes! On this card I dabbed white shimmer paint over it to create a really nice effect.

We are having such a beautiful day today, warm sunshine with a slight breeze, does it get any better?! Well, yes it does because I got a little more stamping in with some of the new stuff from the new catalogue. I'd be lying to you if I didn't say I love this card. Love how the new Cherry Cobbler looks combined with Crumb Cake (formerly known as Kraft) and black. I'm also so excited to finally have ink in the Kraft colour, oops, Crumb Cake. This stamp set is one of the new Hostess level 1 sets, isn't it gorgeous! And you want to know the best part? This set will be one of many door prizes at my grand Catalogue Kick off Party!!! Yup, you read that right. Anyone that attends my party on July 12th is entered to win this stamp set. I'm so excited I can hardly wait! But on to the card, lol. Bling Mania

My garden is loving the rain right now and I am loving the smell of rain. The kids have resorted to using all of our dining room chairs, the living room furniture, and their blankets to make a tent just in case the rain turns into a "bad storm". Now we'll wait and see how good they are at cleaning up once they're done, lol. I wish the lighting in the house had been better when I took this picture, it really doesn't show just how bright and fun this new Poppy Parade colour is! It's quickly becoming one of my favourites of the new In Colors. I stamped the image on watercolour pp and used my blender pens to colour the flower and leaves. Then I carefully cut out the flower so I could mount it on the circle. You can't see it in the picture but I sponged some Old Olive lightly on the Very Vanilla circle.
