My attempt at vintage...

What a beautiful hot day it is today! The kids are outside playing on their "Slip n Slide" and their new water guns so that gave me some time to try a new card style today.

I've seen quite a bit of vintage cards lately and thought maybe it was time to try it as well. I used Soft Suede ink and sponged it on the both pieces, then stamped the images. To get the worn edges I just use the edge of my scissors and tear the paper in a few spots. I also added some of the new smooch spritz to the corners.

Stamps: Sense of Time, Elements of Style, En Francais
Paper: Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Blush Blossom
Ink: Soft Suede, Blush Blossom, Mellow Moss
Other: Taffeta Ribbon, Halfback pearls

We are having such a beautiful day today, warm sunshine with a slight breeze, does it get any better?! Well, yes it does because I got a little more stamping in with some of the new stuff from the new catalogue. I'd be lying to you if I didn't say I love this card. Love how the new Cherry Cobbler looks combined with Crumb Cake (formerly known as Kraft) and black. I'm also so excited to finally have ink in the Kraft colour, oops, Crumb Cake. This stamp set is one of the new Hostess level 1 sets, isn't it gorgeous! And you want to know the best part? This set will be one of many door prizes at my grand Catalogue Kick off Party!!! Bling Mania

My garden is loving the rain right now and I am loving the smell of rain. The kids have resorted to using all of our dining room chairs, the living room furniture, and their blankets to make a tent just in case the rain turns into a "bad storm". Now we'll wait and see how good they are at cleaning up once they're done, lol. I wish the lighting in the house had been better when I took this picture, it really doesn't show just how bright and fun this new Poppy Parade colour is! It's quickly becoming one of my favourites of the new In Colors. I stamped the image on watercolour pp and used my blender pens to colour the flower and leaves. Then I carefully cut out the flower so I could mount it on the circle. You can't see it in the picture but I sponged some Old Olive lightly on the Very Vanilla circle.
